Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Another great game for the Nintendo DS! Professor Layton and the Curious Village is full of fun brainteasers that will have you scratching your head! Some are simple, while others may take a bit longer to figure out. In fact, we were stuck on one tonight!

The game is essentially one big puzzle, with smaller puzzles throughout. Professor Layton and his assistant Luke, travel to the village of St. Mystere to solve the case of a baron’s last will (a hidden treasure). As you move through the village you will talk to the people who live there. It turns out that they are obsessed with puzzles, and they will challenge you to solve them before offering assistance on your quest. With 130 puzzles to solve, and other puzzles that are available weekly for download via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, it’s a game that will keep you challenged!

We have been playing it for about a week now! It is played as a one player game, with three slots that you can save information to. My husband and I play it together, which has been a good thing because he sure is smarter than I am on some of the puzzles! I would likely still be stuck in some spots. They do give you the chance to buy hints with “hint coins” that you can find hidden throughout the game though (we just hate using hints).

We have also enjoyed the artwork, funny things that the villagers say, and of course, the puzzles themselves. If you have a Nintendo DS,  Professor Layton and the Curious Village should be on your wish list if you enjoy brainteasers! We think it’s a lot of fun!

Doggie Vogue

Do you have a stylish pup? Then we have a great site for you! Doggie Vogue offers everything that a stylish pup needs! From clothing, to toys, to collar “bling”! Baby the Maltese got to try out one of their collar charms, a bow, and her favorite thing of all, the BungeMingos!! Here is a video of her enjoying the BungeMingos.

And of course, here is a photo of her wearing her bow and charm.

The charm is very high quality, it actually surprised me when I pulled it out of the package because it was nice and solid. It’s also a very fun way to add personality to your dog, and perfect for dogs who don’t like to play dress up. They have tons of fun choices, and with prices starting at $3.99, they are an affordable way to have fun with your dog’s collar. Baby loves clothes too, so of course she was very interested in the crown charm.

The bow is also very well made, and it was easy to put in her hair. She isn’t a bow girl though, so although it didn’t stay on long, it sure looked cute for the time it was there. It is a very cute way to keep the hair out of her eyes though, so I have a feeling we will be trying it on more often.

We found a lot of great items that we would love to have for our sweet dog, and so we think that Doggie Vogue is absolutely wish list worthy! Visit their website to check it out yourself (you can even be their fan on Facebook)!

Affirmative Jewelry

Piece of the Puzzle Affirmative Jewelry” from the Good Cheer Company, are small puzzle-shaped pewter tokens with I AM on one side and an AFFIRMATIVE WORD on the other. They are perfect reminders of empowering words. Plus, they are very nice! The pewter is thick and these are solid pieces of jewelry. Not only that, the puzzle piece shape is something you don’t see much outside of an actual puzzle, making the jewelry very unique!

There are 40 words available loose, on small rings, and as bracelets and necklaces. They also offer nine sayings for your animal companion (I AM A GOOD KISSER, I AM PURE LOVE, and more). We thought that the pet tags were totally adorable (and they can work for people with a sense of humor too). Priced from $5.00 up to $36.00 depending on what options you choose, they would make the perfect gift for anyone in your life. What a great way to show you care and give a little encouragement too!

We got the I AM POSSIBILITIES on a small ring. I put it on my purse, and it’s been such a great reminder of all the things that are possible. People have already asked me about it too, it’s shiny puzzle shape does attract some attention! We also got a copy of the “Cheers to You” CD, which has been featured twice on the Ellen DeGeneress show! What a fun disc! It’s encouraging words with applause, cheering you on!

We think that they are totally wish list worthy! Click here to see all of the fun options from the Good Cheer Company.

Dana Elle Scented Candles

If you are looking for a candle that is both gorgeous and unique, then Dana Elle candles are for you! We recently received the “Pretty in Pink” candle, which features a blend of pomegranate, pink grapefruit, cranberry and lemon zest scent. The artisan blown glass that the candle comes in is absolutely one of a kind and oh so pretty.

Of course, the Pretty in Pink candle from Dana Elle is more than just a candle, it’s a candle with a purpose! 25% of revenues will be donated to Cure Breast Cancer For ME. Each candle is handcrafted in Maine using a soy wax blend, fine fragrances and glass blown by local artisans. “Pretty in Pink” is offered for a limited time in a 2 oz candle tin and 11 oz artisan glass, $6 to $60 each.

We were also impressed at how the candle came packaged. The box the candle arrived in was designed really well, and made it feel like we were getting a special gift, not just a candle. I always notice things like that. We also love that they use soy in their wax blend since soy burns more cleanly, and of course the fact that each candle is hand made in the USA appeals to us too.

Please visit Dana Elle to see all of the great options, and especially take a look at the “Pretty in Pink” candle while you are there!
