I am so excited about the upcoming Pink October 2008! Already we have had some wonderful prizes offered, and I can’t wait to see how much money we earn for Komen this time around. Some of you have had some questions about sponsoring a prize, so I wanted to do a quick post and hopefully answer all of them.

• Each prize will have their own giveaway post. This gives each sponsor a nice write up and allows the product to be showcased.
• Each sponsor has the option to receive a 125×125 ad spot on this blog for a year as a thank you for donating. We just ask that you send us the image, as we don’t have time to create one for you.
• Every giveaway is promoted on several sites, including Online Sweepstakes, Twitter, Facebook, and many other great blogs that promote giveaways, and of course friends of ours as well.
• As a sponsor, please feel free to promote your giveaway post in anyway that you would like. You will be notified of the day your post is going live.
• Past giveaways have gone over 100 entries, some even higher depending on the product, and we always like to include that they should visit your site as part of the entry process.
• Each giveaway post will include a link to Komen and encourage people to donate to our Komen team. The purpose of Pink October is to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer research, and although a donation is not required for entry, it is encouraged.

I am very excited to announce that this year Pink October is going to be held on Wish List Worthy!

Right now we are gathering a bunch of wonderful prizes to be given away during the month of October. Why are we doing this? To help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. All the money donated during the month of October to the Susan G. Komen foundation helps them research new methods of detection and hopefully some day a cure for breast cancer.
