We had the chance to ask Cool Tool’s Chris Grundy some questions about the show, and about the tools that he thinks are the best. Here is the interview:

1. What is the most “wish list worthy” tool? The tool everyone would want to have on their wish list?

A lithium ion impact driver - the extra power these give to setting screws makes everyone feel tough. Oscillating tools may be a good alternative choice since fewer people already have them.

2. What is the one tool you think no DIYer should be with out?

A sense of humor! Because if a job ever went 100 percent as planned we’d be living in some bizarre parallel dimension! After that, I like to have a good piloting countersink for my driver drill.  It’s a good way to slow down and remember the “devil is in the details,” so if you take care of the small things and don’t rush, the big picture will be more complete and not have some split wood.

3. What is your favorite thing about being on DIY Network’s Cool Tools?

Getting to be myself, share my love of tools and see everything that’s on the cutting edge.

Another great product came to us for review from the Family Review Network and Libman!

We got the chance to try out the Libman Wonder Mop and absolutely loved it. It’s actually the first real mop that we have owned. We had always hated how you have to wring out traditional mops by hand, so we always went with disposable mopping systems. However, now that we have a Wonder Mop we won’t be going back! It got our floors so much cleaner, and we loved the way the mop had a self wringing sleeve on it so we didn’t have to squeeze the water out with our hands.

The Libman Wonder Mop did a great job cleaning the floor, and after the floor was clean we were able to just wring it out and then toss the washable head into the washing machine. It could not have been any easier.

The Wonder Mop is also very affordable at $10.99, and can be found at Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, Kmart, and most grocery store chains.

As part of the Family Review Network, we recently got to try out the Weiman E-tronic Wipes!

These were great! We are a very technologically minded family, so we have a lot of things that need special cleaning. Television screens, computer screens, and of course smaller electronics like iPods, hand held game systems and cell phones. I will be the first to tell you that shaving is not my favorite thing to do. It seems that I always miss a spot, or end up with a nick. Well, the great news is that Pacific Shaving Company recently sent us two samples, and they were both great!

The shaving oil has a light citrus scent, and made shaving a much nicer, smoother experience. The shaving oil is totally natural, and it left my legs feeling soft and smooth. Another bonus, it was a lot easier to see where I had already shaved. The shaving oil is good for men and women.

They also sent a “Nick Stick”, which helps stop bleeding quickly. It also has a nice roll on aplicator and dries clear. A much better alternative to the usual toilet paper solution for shaving nicks. My husband found it to be a great product, although after using the shaving oil he didn’t have any nicks!

Watching the Charlie Brown Christmas was (and still is) a part of making the holiday season fun! It really wouldn’t feel like the holidays without it. And, I have always loved the sad little Christmas tree. So of course when we spotted them for sale at Fred Flare, we had to put it on the wish list!

Isn’t it fun? Their website is actually full of things that we find to be wish list worthy, but at this time of the year when thoughts turn to Christmas, there is nothing as cute (or as worthy of wishing for) as the Charlie Brown Christmas tree!

The Refresh’n Dryer Towel is an amazing towel that turns an ordinary dryer into a steam cleaner. If you often have clothing that just needs to be freshened up, not completely rewashed, or is even just wrinkled (we have this issue from clothing ending up in piles on the floor), the towel can refresh and unwrinkle the clothes in about 10 mins.

We really love the towel, and especially the fact that it is reusable and 100% natural. You can acheive the benefits of a steam clean, without any chemicals. Just soak the towel in water, toss it in with your clothing, turn on the dryer, and the Refresh’n Dryer Towel does the rest. One towel will refresh 3 articles of clothing at a time. They are good for up to 25 uses, and don’t shrink.

Now that we have tried it, I can’t imagine not having one on hand for those times when we need something clean to wear, but don’t want to do a load.
