We had the chance to ask Cool Tool’s Chris Grundy some questions about the show, and about the tools that he thinks are the best. Here is the interview:
1. What is the most “wish list worthy” tool? The tool everyone would want to have on their wish list?
A lithium ion impact driver – the extra power these give to setting screws makes everyone feel tough. Oscillating tools may be a good alternative choice since fewer people already have them.
2. What is the one tool you think no DIYer should be with out?
A sense of humor! Because if a job ever went 100 percent as planned we’d be living in some bizarre parallel dimension! After that, I like to have a good piloting countersink for my driver drill. It’s a good way to slow down and remember the “devil is in the details,” so if you take care of the small things and don’t rush, the big picture will be more complete and not have some split wood.
3. What is your favorite thing about being on DIY Network’s Cool Tools?
Getting to be myself, share my love of tools and see everything that’s on the cutting edge.
Thanks Chris! DIY Network will be airing a special “Holiday Blitz” of Cool Tools episodes for the Thanksgiving weekend (starting 11/27 through 11/30) to get you geared up for the holiday season and ready to tackle some of your own DIY projects with the “coolest” tools. The new season of Cool Tools will air immediately after the Holiday Blitz on Thursdays at 9pm.
Wreaths Direct produces the finest trees, wreaths and centerpieces to fulfill all your holiday decorating and gift-giving needs. We received this gorgeous wreath from them to review, and let me just tell you how pretty it is! The photo doesn’t do it justice. And the smell of the fresh greenery is just amazing! It has really helped put our house in the holiday spirit!
All the fresh greenery ships FREE throughout the USA. They have a lot of great gift and decorating items, including fresh holiday wreaths, candy cane wreaths, and centerpieces with a free taper candle. Not only are their products fresh, but they are a family run business. From the site:
Grandma D’s Tree and Wreath Farm is located in the Silverton Hills southeast of Salem, Oregon, adjacent to Silver Falls State Park near Silverton, Oregon.
In the early 1920′s, the De Santis family began purchasing farm land.
This land was first used to plant and harvest strawberries. By the 1960′s, the strawberry crops were phased out, while Noble and Douglas Christmas Trees were gradually planted. By 1990, the Rutherford family, descendants of the De Santis family, managed the tree farm. This family-owned business sells beautiful noble fir wreaths, centerpieces, and trees.
We found the wreath to be very wish list worthy, and a great idea for gift giving as well as decoration! In fact, I already know of a few people who would love to have the fresh scent and gorgeous look of a fresh wreath in their home. Visit the Wreaths Direct Shop to see all the options.
