There is nothing quiet like the glow of a candle. It’s something we love, but have been worried about since reading a lot of information about what goes into regular candles. So of course, we were thrilled to learn about GoodLight Natural Candles!!

I have written before about how much I love bamboo fabric, and so I was really excited to have the chance to try out a sheet set from Sweet Dreams Bamboo. These are high thread count (500), luxury sheets! They are the softest thing we have ever had on our bed. What a great way to sleep, and now that we are totally spoiled it would be hard to use anything else. You probably don’t know this about me, but I have a bit of a watch obsession. So of course when I heard about an eco-friendly watch company called Sprout, I knew we would have to feature them here. I love the watch so much! It’s fun, functional, and it makes me feel great knowing that when I am dead and gone, the watch won’t be sticking around for long in a landfill someplace.

Fun, Earth friendly facts about Sprout watches:

The case is made from a corn resin. So is the caseback, bezel, reflector ring and movement holder, and buckle closure. I didn’t know much about corn resin before I got the chance to review this watch, but I learned that corn resin is similar to synthetic plastics, so it won’t break down during regular wear and use. However, it will biodegrade in a composite environment, (99% biodegradable tp carbon dioxide and water within 365 days). Also, because it’s made from corn, it comes from a renewable resource.

The watch strap is made from Certified Organic Cotton! It features a natural bamboo dial, covered with a mineral crystal. The battery is even earth friendly, being Mercury free.

Another thing that I love is the packaging the watch came in! The box actually becomes a small garden, complete with seeds to “sprout”! I have mine set up on my office windowsill and already see little signs of growth. It was such a fun surprise to find the seeds inside my watch box!
