I was really excited to get a copy of Gorgeously Green for review! What a fun book! Most of the time books about “going green” can be a mix between a guilt trip and a horror movie. This book, while it did address the reasons why certain things we use everyday are bad for us, it did it in a more friendly way and offered simple solutions to help go a little greener.
Each chapter has a page with 5 things you can choose from to help you be a little more eco-friendly with your choices. You can choose to do just one, or all of the suggestions, but like the author says throughout the book, even if you just make one change you are making a difference.
Some of the options for being greener are pretty pricey though, which is sadly still the case with so many quality products. And be warned, some changes would take a lot of getting used to (have you ever tried natural shampoos or deodorants?), while others are really easy to get used to (we love our bamboo sheets, they are so soft). Overall though, the suggestions are simple enough that anyone should be able to incorporate at least one change into their lives.
I really enjoyed the book, and would recommend Gorgeously Green to anyone interested in doing a little more for the planet while staying gorgeous at the same time.
