DaysAgo Digital Day Counter

The DaysAgo digital day counter is one of the coolest things for the kitchen! How many times have you wondered when you opened something? I know that I have always wanted an easy way to keep track of when certain foods were opened, and the DaysAgo is it! Small enough to fit on top of a jar, or to use on the refrigerator, it easily keeps count of when you opened something. Simply start the timer once you open the food, and it does the rest!

The DaysAgo timer is now in a special edition for breast cancer support. The company donates 10% of sales of the Pink DaysAgo to support breast cancer awareness. Here is a bit more about it and why they are passionate about the cause:

Kathleen Whitehurst, a 10-year breast cancer survivor and co-inventor of the award-winning DaysAgo® Digital Day Counter, has introduced the special edition Pink DaysAgo as part of her commitment to helping women of all ages get into the habit of doing self breast exams. Kathleen’s company donates 10 % of sales from the Pink DaysAgo to support breast cancer awareness, including Breast Cancer Network of Strength. The Pink DaysAgo counts days at the touch of a button. Women can simply stick the DaysAgo to their bathroom mirror as an easy, monthly reminder to do a breast self-exam. For your health – and everything else that needs tracking, — the Pink DaysAgo is available for retail purchase at Amazon.com and through the DaysAgo web site.

Visit www.howmanydaysago.com to get your own timers. They are priced just right, and once you have them you will wonder how you ever lived without it!

The Think Pink Flannel Collection from Frankie & Johnny. 10 % of the sale will be donated to www.breastcancer.org. You can find them, as well as a lot of other great pajamas, at Sleepy Heads.

Hawaiian Kine Stuff

I have always been in love with Hawaii, even though I still haven’t gotten a chance to visit it in person! My parents used to live there, and so we have always had a bit of a connection. Plus, it’s absolutely gorgeous, and the people are great! So, if you are like me and want a taste of the islands, but can’t afford a trip over, then Hawaiian Kine Stuff is the website for you!

They have everything, from shirts, to dashboard hula girls (and guys), and even Hawaiian style shirts for your dog! We got a dashboard hula girl from them recently and let me tell you, it’s the real deal! It’s got great details, and it’s nice and solid. It’s not like what you find in the shops around here, this is a hula girl that’s going to last!

They also shipped very fast, and were great with their customer service. If everything else on the site is as nice of quality as our hula girl, which I suspect it is, then we can say the site is very wish list worthy! So, if you need some great Hawaiian goods in your life (and who doesn’t) be sure to check out Hawaiian Kine Stuff.

Picture Keeper

The Picture Keeper is a very handy device that lets you back up your JPEG images with ease. Just plug the USB device into your computer, click the “Start Backup” button, and it does the rest, finding all the JPEG images on your computer and putting them on the flash drive. It’s a nice way to keep a backup of your photos!

It comes in three sizes; 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB. If you are unsure about what size you might need, their website has a guide to help you figure it out. Personally, we would go directly for the 16GB, since we take a lot of photos! However, we were able to test drive the 8GB and it held our photos with room to spare!

We liked that it works for both PC and Mac, and that it doesn’t require installing any software on your computer (the software runs from the Picture Keeper). We also liked that it pulled everything for us without us having to search. At the same time this is also it’s downfall if you have a lot of JPEGS that you don’t care about keeping (such as for work). The one thing I really liked about backing up onto a flash drive is that I now have all my photos available for easy printing at the store.

If you are looking for a very simple way to keep a backup of your photos, the Picture Keeper is a great product to look into!

Got free ecards?

Just in time for Fathers day, we found out about a great website that offers ecards for free. That’s right, you can send ecards with out having to pay or register on the site. They offer a lot of fun options, and even have printable Fathers Day cards if you would rather give something to your dad in person.

The site is called Got Free Ecards, and we think that it’s great! The cards are animated, which is always so much fun. They also give you a chance to rate the cards, which can help make the site even better. Also, you can send a card by email, and by Twitter! That’s right, you can send fun cards to your “tweeps”!

We love sending and getting ecards, and especially when we don’t have to create yet another online account (who can keep track of all of them). Be sure to check them out when you have a chance!
